Competition
Competition Courses are self-paced certification courses that support VEX Robotics Competitions.
Each course provides the essential knowledge and context needed to confidently perform the role for which you are certified. Through reading and answering questions, you will gain the tools to make consistent, well-supported decisions in your role throughout the season.
Upon completion of a course, you will receive a certificate that can be submitted to show you are certified for the current season and able to support events. You will also have access to the global VEX Passport network, where you can connect with educators worldwide. Additionally, you will have a spot in the VEX PD+ Community - where you can read, respond, and post in the General and Competition categories you are certified in.
V5 Override Referee Certification Course
This course prepares Scorekeepers and Head Referees to score accurately and make fair and consistent decisions at VEX V5 Robotics Competition events. Gain the essential knowledge and context needed to apply the rules and scoring of the 2026–2027 game, Override, during Head-to-Head, Robot Skills, and VEX U Matches.
IQ Level Up Referee Certification Course
This course prepares Scorekeepers and Head Referees to score accurately and make fair and consistent decisions at VEX IQ Robotics Competition events. Gain the essential knowledge and context needed to apply the rules and scoring of the 2026–2027 game, Level Up, during Teamwork Challenge Matches and Robot Skills Matches.
Judge Certification Course
This course prepares Judges and Judge Advisors to interact with teams and make decisions about awards at events. Gain the essential knowledge and context needed to apply the award rubric criteria fairly, consistently, and confidently for the 2026–2027 VEX Robotics Competition season.
Event Partner Certification Course
This course prepares Event Partners to host a VEX Robotics Competition event with confidence. Gain the essential knowledge and context needed to staff, set up, and run events throughout the 2026–2027 VEX Robotics Competition season.
