When is the conference?


The VEX Educators Conference will be held from Thursday, April 27th to Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at VEX Worlds in Dallas, Texas.

Will I get professional development credits for attending the conference?


After the conference, every attendee will be emailed a certificate indicating the number of professional development hours completed. Because every school and/or district is different, be sure to talk to your administration to determine if they will accept the conference as continuing education hours.

Where can I find information about grants or funding opportunities?


The article linked here outlines potential US Federal funding sources for a VEX PD+ subscription as well as links to resources to help with writing a grant proposal. Additional information can be found at grants.vex.com.

Where do I register for the conference?


In order to register for the conference, you will need to have an active PD+ subscription. You can register for the conference within PD+ at this link. Registration will open at the end of January 2023.

Will I be able to view any sessions I missed after the conference?


All sessions will be recorded and posted in the video library within PD+ after the conference.

Do I have to be a robotics educator to attend the conference?


Absolutely not! All types of educators can learn and be inspired at the conference. In previous years STEM Coordinators, administrators, regular education teachers, robotics coaches, and more have all attended.

What is VEX PD+?


VEX Professional Development Plus (PD+) provides dynamic, ongoing, professional development for all VEX platforms with a variety of tools and resources. The variety of the resources allows you to tailor VEX PD+ to suit your teaching needs, and those of your students. The article linked here covers many of the offerings in PD+.

Can I see some of the offerings within PD+ before deciding to purchase?


Yes! You can request a free 3-day trial here. Please note that there are limitations on the 3-day trial. You will not be able to post in the community, register for the conference, or earn any achievements. However you will be able to view all of the videos in the video library, read STEM Insights articles and see the wealth of resources available with a PD+ membership!

What is VEX Worlds?


The VEX Robotics World Championship is the culminating tournament of the VEX Robotics competition season. Student-led winning teams from around the world ranging from elementary to university-level showcase their strategy, teamwork, engineering design, coding skills, and desire to be crowned champions at this world-class global event.
