Hello, and welcome to the VEX classroom. My name is Lauren, and in this video, I'm gonna walk you through how to use our 3D build instructions. Now, we know when you go to builds.vex.com, throughout our entire continuum, we have a lot of different options for build instructions. Some of those are the PDF build instructions, but we also offer the interactive 3D build instructions. So let's take a look at what that actually looks like when I select and open one of those 3D build instructions.

Okay, now, when I select and open one of those 3D build instructions, the first thing that I'm going to see is a large black arrow, and when I hover over it, you can see that it turns orange. I'm gonna go ahead and select that, and it's going to start loading our build instructions. Now, the first thing that I'm gonna notice is when I hover around these parts, if I actually select these parts, it's going to tell me what that part is. So it's really easy for me to differentiate between the different parts on these build instructions.

Next, I can see how these parts are going to connect by viewing these pink lines right here. That's gonna tell me how the parts are going to connect. Now, if I scroll down here to the bottom right, where I can see this blue arrow, if I select that, that's going to animate how the parts are going to go together, and I can see how it should be completed. Now, if I missed that and I wanna go back, I can go ahead and select the back button, and it will undo the step that I just played. So you can undo and redo those steps just like that.

Now, if you want to see other steps, I can select here, you see where it says number two. I can select that, and I can scroll through all of the steps. Now if I wanna see a particular step, I can select that, or I can select View All Steps, and that's going to allow me to see all of the steps in this tile view.

Another great thing about these 3D build instructions is that I can actually move the build. So if I go ahead and select and rotate, you can see that I'm holding onto the screen, and I can move around. I can pan, I can tilt. If I wanna look more towards the bottom of the build, I can do that. Maybe I wanna see a specific part. I can zoom in, I can zoom out. So that's really going to help me as I navigate these.

Now, especially, let's select one of these later steps here just to see. Again, maybe I want to see specifically what this looks like on the other side so I can count the holes, or see how they line up more appropriately. Allowing myself to pan, tilt, and zoom is a really useful way to really understand how these parts are fitting together.

Now, if I wanna go to the very end and see the finished build or go to the very beginning, I can see these arrows on the left and right side. The arrow on the left side takes me to the very beginning, the start, and the arrow on the right side is going to take me to the finished completed view. Having these 3D build instructions is a great tool to allow you to start building a bunch of the different builds that we have on builds.vex.com.

I hope that this information was helpful, and I will see you in another video.
